Today, Year 2 begun their new unit of learning – Materials. After a quick discussion about what the word ‘Material’ means, we identified and grouped a range of materials around our classroom into:
- woods
- metals
- plastics
- bricks
- fabrics
We then begun to explore how we can change materials, starting with paper, to investigate whether we could bend, squash, twist or stretch it! This was great fun to do, and Year 2 were very confident in their recording skills.
