Today we collated our photo diary of our chick embryo development, labelling the eggs with the observable features.
We patiently observed our eggs, although had to be very careful as they were beginning to hatch. Of the 24 eggs we began with – 13 are still fertile and growing well. We predicted that 3 were not fertile to begin with, however these 3 are all still growing well and our predictions were not correct.
As we could not yet observe the hatching process, we instead turned our focus to setting up their new home, ensuring they had plenty of space, heat, food and water. We researched what they needed and produced some excellent fact-files, which display our learning brilliantly.
We cannot wait to see them hatch over the next 48 hours!
